A TAFE New Industries Training Centre: Business Case Launch

The Hunter Jobs Alliance has been campaigning for the need to establish a TAFE New Industries Training Centre here in the Hunter. To better understand why a TAFE New Industries Training Centre is needed in the Hunter, the Hunter Jobs Alliance commissioned the Institute of Regional Futures and DeltaPearl Partners to compile a Business Case. Join us as we launch the Business Case and hear discussion from experts and stakeholders on the reports findings.

A TAFE New Industries Training Centre: the case for expanded vocational education in the Hunter

The Hunter is getting a lot of investment in renewable energy developments, decarbonising industry, and new sectors such as battery manufacturing, green hydrogen and offshore wind. We can be a global leader in clean energy and manufacturing. To secure this future we need a job ready workforce to fill crucial skills gaps and attract further investment. Now is the time for the government to be funding quality public vocational education. We need to create a TAFE New Industries Training Centre.   Come along and hear from experts and local stakeholders discussing the proposal, and the Hunter Jobs Alliance campaign to win this important investment for our region.

Campaign workshop

Come along to our training session in beautiful Maitland to meet your team mates and learn about how we will secure a 'Transition Authority' for the Hunter.
